Apple CarPlay lets you connect your iPhone to your BMW and use iOS apps on the built-in dashboard display. You can listen to music, make calls, get directions, send texts, use your favourite navigation apps and more — all while staying focused on the road. With the help of Siri, you can do all these things without taking your hands off the wheel. It’s a very useful feature that enhances your driving experience.
Your BMW will need have the pro nav for it to gain access to AppleCar Play, If your BMW is equipped with a compatible head unit, we can enable Apple CarPlay with our bespoke software solution. In some cases, you might need to add a WiFi antenna if your car does not already have one, to allow establishing a wireless connection between your iPhone and BMW head unit.
If your vehicle is equipped with either the Wireless Charging option or Wi-Fi Hotspot then you will not require the Wi-Fi Antenna to be installed. Please note if your vehicle does not come with either the wireless charging or the Wi-Fi hotspot then you will need to purchase a Wi-Fi antenna.
Our AppleCar play installation is only done via appointment only and a mobile service, where we come to you. If you are in a 5 mile radius of us we will come to you at no extra charge, however if you are outside the 5 mile radius there will be an additional cost of £1 per mile.
